Delfeayo Marsalis Receives Honorary Doctorate

New England College, in Henniker, NH conferred an honorary doctorate to Delfeayo Marsalis for excellence in professional and community endeavors. Delfeayo delivered the commencement speech to an audience of 3,500 students, family and staff members, after having written it en route to the event. Reflecting upon his childhood days and the influence of his 90 year-old great uncle Alphonse Lambert, Delfeayo encouraged the graduating class to embrace technological advances with caution. The speech ended with the account of an early morning encounter with an endo-dontist whose love and passion for teeth was downright inspiring.
