Delfeayo Marsalis to host New Orleans Access TV’s Future Focus Talk Show

On Thursday, December 4, 2008, Delfeayo will be taking over as the full time on-air host of the local New Orleans talk show, Future Focus. The featured guest on April 24, 2008, he spoke at length about his connection to youth education and the Uptown Music Theatre. On July 24, 2008, Delfeayo returned to the set with twenty-eight (28) UMT kids to promote their summer production of Friends 4 Life.

At the request of then host Terrie Guerin, Delfeayo sat in to host shows that featured 83 year-old vocal instructor Lorraine Alfaro, Tonight Show chief audio engineer Patrick Smith and clarinetist/reserve police officer Joseph Torregano offering tips on Halloween safety. As host, Delfeayo plans to present insightful and educational shows that include: Healthy Eating, Family Budgeting, Protecting Our Kids (And Our Future), as well as a special series on New Orleans music and its creators.

Look for Delfeayo as the new host of Future Focus on NOA-TV channel 8, New Orleans’ educational access channel. Shows will be broadcast live on Thursdays @ 9pm and replayed on Mondays @ 7:30pm.
